With the custom delivery schedule, you can define different custom schedules based on various combinations to suit your business needs more precisely.
Let’s have a look at all the different scenarios of the combinations of different delivery schedules and how they work:
Based on Shipping Method #
Scenario: You’ve set delivery schedules specifically for shipping methods.
Example: Free Shipping allows delivery on Mon–Wed.
- When a customer selects a shipping method at checkout, its defined delivery days are shown.
- If no custom schedule is set for the selected method, the default delivery schedule settings will be used.
Based on Product Collections #
Single Collection Setting #
Scenario: You add delivery rules for a single Collection A (Art).
Example: You set the schedule such that the Art collection products can only be delivered on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Result: So, if a customer adds an Art product to the cart, only Monday and Tuesday will be available on the delivery calendar at checkout.
Duplicate Settings for Same Collections #
If you set delivery days for the same product collection more than once, the last added setting is the one that will be used.
Example:
- First setting: Mondays & Tuesdays
- Second setting: Saturdays & Sundays
Result: When a product from this collection is added to the cart, Saturdays & Sundays will be available for delivery.
Two Collections with Different Schedules #
When a customer adds products from different collections (like Art and Gifts), each collection may have its own delivery schedule. In such cases, the common settings among them will be considered.
- Example:
- Art: Delivery on Mon, Tue, Wed
- Gifts: Delivery on Wed, Thu, Fri
Result: When a customer adds both collection products of Art and the Gifts to the cart, only Wednesday is common to both, so only Wednesday will be enabled in the calendar.
Based on Collections + Shipping Methods #
This section lets you define custom delivery days based on combinations of Collections and Shipping Methods. You can configure this under Custom Delivery Settings.
Collections A + Shipping Method 1 #
Example:
Collections A: Art, Shipping Method 1: Free Shipping
→ Customer selects Art + Free Shipping → Show delivery days set for this combo.
→ Customer selects Art + Flat Rate( other Shipping Method) → use default delivery schedule settings.
Result: If the customer chooses Art with Free Shipping, show the custom delivery days set for that combination.
(Product Collection A + Shipping Method 1) + Product Collection A #
Example:
- Art + Free Shipping → Show Mon, Tue, Wed (from combo setting).
- Art + Flat Rate( other Shipping Method) → Show Wed, Thu, Fri (from Collection A setting).
Result:
If a customer selects Collection A (Art) with Free Shipping, show the delivery days set for that specific combo — Mon, Tue, Wed.
If the customer selects Collection A (e.g., Art) with any shipping method other than Free Shipping, then it will show the delivery days defined for Collection A, such as Wed, Thu, Fri.
(Product Collection A + Shipping Method 1) + (Product Collection A + Shipping Method 2) #
Example:
- Art + Free Shipping → Show Saturday & Sunday.
- Art + Flat Rate → Show Monday & Tuesday.
- Art + Local Pickup → Show default delivery days (from global/default settings).
Result:
If the customer selects Collection A + Shipping Method 1 (Free Shipping) → Use the settings set for this combo → Show Sat & Sun.
If the customer selects Collection A + Shipping Method 2 (Flat Rate) → Use the settings set for this combo → Show Mon & Tue.
If the customer selects Collection A + any other Shipping Method, → Use default delivery schedule settings.
(Product Collection A + Shipping Method 1) + Product Collection B #
Example:
- Art (Collection A) + Free Shipping → Show Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday.
- Gifts (Collection B) + any other Shipping Method → Show Wednesday & Saturday.
- Both Collections A & B + Free Shipping → Show Wednesday (common day).
- Both Collections A & B + Free Shipping → Show No dates (if no common delivery day).
- Both Collections A & B + any other Shipping Method → Show Wednesday & Saturday (Collections B settings applied).
Result:
- If the customer selects Collection A + Free Shipping → Use the settings set for this combo → Show Mon, Tue, & Wed.
- If the customer selects Collection A + any other Shipping Method, → Use default delivery schedule settings.
- If the customer selects Collection B + any Shipping Method (excluding Free Shipping) → Use Collection B settings → Show Wed & Sat.
- If both Collection A & B products are in the cart + Free Shipping selected → Use common days from both settings.
- If common day exists → show that day (e.g., Wednesday).
- If no common day → no delivery day is available.
- If both Collection A & B products are in the cart + any other Shipping Method → Use Collection B settings → Show Wed & Sat.
(Product Collection A + Shipping Method 1) + (Product Collection B + Shipping Method 1) #
Example:
- Art (Collection A) + Free Shipping (Shipping Method 1) → Show Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday.
- Gifts (Collection B) + Free Shipping (Shipping Method 1) → Show Thursday, Friday & Saturday.
- Both Collections A & B + Free Shipping (Shipping Method 1) → Show Monday (common day).
- Both Collections A & B + Free Shipping (Shipping Method 1) → Show No dates (if no common delivery day).
- Art or Gifts+ Flat Rate (Any Shipping Method ) → Show dates from default delivery schedule settings..
- If the customer selects Collection A + Shipping Method 1 → Use this combo settings → Show Mon, Tue & Wed.
- If the customer selects Collection B + Shipping Method 1 → Use combo settings → Show Thu, Fri & Sat.
- If the customer selects Collection A or B + Any Shipping Method, → Use the default delivery schedule settings.
- If both Collection A & B products are in the cart + Shipping Method 1 is selected:
- If a common day exists → show that day (e.g., Monday).
- If no common day → no delivery day is available.
(Product Collection A + Shipping Method 1) + (Product Collection B + Shipping Method 2) #
Example:
- Art (Collection A) + Free Shipping (Shipping Method 1) → Show Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday.
- Gifts (Collection B) + Flat Rate Shipping (Shipping Method 2) → Show Thursday, Friday & Saturday.
- Both Collections A & B + Free Shipping (Shipping Method 1) → Show Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday (Collection A settings).
- Both Collections A & B + Flat Rate Shipping (Shipping Method 2) → Show Thursday, Friday & Saturday (Collection B settings).
- Art + Gifts, any other Shipping Method → Use default delivery settings.

- If customer selects Collection B + Shipping Method 2 → Use Collection B + Shipping Method 2 settings.

- If the customer selects both Collection A & B + Shipping Method 2, → Use Collection B + Shipping Method 2 settings.
- If the customer selects any other shipping method → Use the default delivery settings.
Based on Pickup Locations & Product Collections #

(Collection A + Pickup Location 1) #
Example:
Gift + New York → Show Mon, Tue, Wed (from combo setting).
Result:
If a customer selects the Gift collection with New York, the combo setting applies, showing Mon, Tue, Wed.
(Collection A + Pickup Location 1) + (Collection A + Pickup Location 2) #
Example:
Gift + New York → Show Mon, Tue, Wed.
Gift + Los Angeles → Show Thu, Fri.
Result:
When a customer adds Gift collection products with New York as the pickup location, the delivery calendar will show Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
If the same Gift products are picked from Los Angeles, the calendar will show Thursday and Friday.
(Product Collection A + Pickup Location 1) + Product Collection B
Example:
Gift + New York → Show Mon, Tue, Wed.
Art+ any pickup location → Show Sat, Sun.
Result:
If the cart contains Gift products picked from New York, then the settings set for this combo will be applied.
If Art products are added to the cart from a different pickup location, only the delivery days set for that collection will be shown on the calendar.
Common Settings #
- When settings are common for Shipping Methods, Product Collections, Shipping Classes, and Time Slots, the following rules apply:
- Time Slots: If no time slots are common, a message saying “No time slots available” will appear.
- Common Delivery Days: Only the common delivery days will be considered. For example, if Collection A offers delivery on Saturday and Collection B offers delivery on Saturday and Sunday, only Saturday will be available.
- Highest Delivery Charges: If there are common delivery days, the highest delivery charge will apply.
- Minimum Delivery Time in Hours: The highest delivery time will be used at checkout if there’s a common setting.
- Same Day Delivery Cut-Off Time: The highest cut-off time will apply for same-day delivery.
Example: If Monday has a 10 PM and 12 PM cut-off, 12 PM will be used. - Next Day Delivery Cut-Off Time: The highest cut-off time will apply for next-day delivery.
