The Use Global Maximum Orders per Day for Custom Settings option applies a single daily order limit across all your delivery schedules — both default and custom.
Let’s consider a bakery that offers different delivery options for birthdays, weddings, and events, but can only handle 10 deliveries per day. The global maximum order limit ensures that, regardless of the delivery schedule (default or custom), once 10 orders are booked for a date, that date becomes unavailable for further deliveries.
Enabling the Global Maximum Orders Setting #
- From your Shopify admin dashboard, go to Apps > Flexi Delivery & Pickup Date > Settings > Common Schedule Settings.

- Enable the option: Use Global Maximum Orders per Day for Custom Settings.

Important: Make sure a value is set for “Add the maximum number of deliveries you can manage” in the Date settings of the Default Delivery Schedule. This value acts as the global maximum order limit when the above setting is enabled.

Frontend Experience: What Your Customers Will See #
When the total number of orders placed for a specific delivery date, reach the Global Maximum Orders Per Day limit of 5, the date will be marked as unavailable.
For example, on 6th May 2025, 5 orders were already placed across the default delivery settings and the custom delivery settings. So, the date 6th May 2025 will be disabled in the calendar.

By enabling the Global Maximum Orders Per Day setting, you maintain consistent control over your daily order limit, regardless of how many custom schedules you manage.
